Someone’s gotta win it and it might be you!You can enter here at the end of my post today.. Now, let’s get to the tour!.
First of all, I need to start out by saying that I know there are so many uglier kitchens than mine.In fact, a lot of people love my kitchen and even loved it before I started fiddling around with it this year.I actually love my kitchen too, well, except for the cabinets, and the counters, and the flooring, and the wall color, and 2/3 of the appliances.
OK, that’s pretty much all of it.So in the grand scheme of the world, it’s not necessarily considered an ugly kitchen.
But it’s just not to my taste yet.
Today’s little kitchen tour is all about how I love it anyway while we wait to be able to do the big renovation of our dreams..Having materials on hand that you’re not afraid to ruin and throw away if need be, or paint that you’re not afraid to cover up at a later date if you change your mind, gives you such a sense of freedom and really, you’ll just end up painting more often and creating more rooms that you love!
At best, I use a medium-priced angled brush for certain cutting-in jobs, and even then, it’s mostly just because it makes me feel fancy.I have to admit that any of those higher priced brushes don’t make me love my paint anymore than the dollar store brushes do.. It’s 2015.
Honestly, paint technology is pretty great across the board.Event the cheapest paint that you can buy now is pretty amazing compared to the paint we were using 15 years ago.
