Kennedy and I threw it together in about 15 minutes using store bought dough, pie filling, and a few basic pantry items that we already had on hand, but it turned out looking all rustic and delicious and homemade.

I even sprung for the giant $6 pot of mums instead of just the little $3 ones.I feel like the front of our house starts looking pretty abandoned sometimes without a little cheeriness, especially since it never gets used..

I guess the over-grown bushes don’t help either, but I kind of like them over-grown!Especially in the Summer when they’re all covered in pink.I guess that’s done now, so I have no excuse!.

Oh, and an update, just in the name of being honest: The straw bale actually isn’t there any more. It’s now almost permanently in the back of the tractor for hay rides.

I guess I can be OK with that.

Hay ridin’ cousins are pretty cute!.We wanted to create a more welcoming feel in the backyard and we wanted the traffic to flow a little better on the deck and give us more usable space..

Here it is now!.It’s at least a little better now, isn’t?.

I’d easily say that it’s an improvement of at least 7112.5%.Time for the Chuckers check!.
